Asus’ new midrange phone, the four-lensed ZenFone 5Q, is now available in the US.

Launching at $299 (about £232 or AU$392, though availability hasn’t been settled for regions outside of the US) for GSM networks like AT&T, T-Mobile and others, this model is priced rather competitively against recent favorites like the Moto G6 and Honor 7X.


The rest of the US-bound ZenFone 5Q’s specs include a Snapdragon 630 chipset, Adreno 508 GPU, 4GB RAM, a fingerprint sensor, Android Oreo with Asus’ custom ZenUI 5.0 skin, and a 3,300mAh battery. Imaging-wise, there’s hope that the front-facing 20MP Sony sensor will take more than decent photos — it has an f/2.0 aperture and LED flash — when paired with another front-facing camera using a 120-degree wide-angle lens.

This model is loaded with a Snapdragon 630 with 4GB of RAM, each powering its 6-inch IPS 2,160 x 1,080 display. Additionally, the 5Q has you set for a global adventure with dual SIM slots and support for microSD cards to expand its default 64GB of storage.

Other highlights include a 3,300mAh battery and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone runs on Android Oreo software, though wrapped with Asus‘s ZenUI 5.0 interface (thankfully much improved).


Amazon also lists the Asus ZenFone 5Q at $299, but is temporarily out-of-stock for both color variants. If you simply must buy from Amazon, you’ll have to wait until it comes back in stock.

Finally, Newegg also sells the Asus ZenFone 5Q, but wants nearly double the list price: $418. We’re not quite sure why it’s asking so much more than other sites, but it’s likely because it’s being sold by a third-party seller, which has jacked-up the price with no connection to Newegg.

Instagram’s algorithm exposed | 800 million users

Instagram revealed today how it organizes users’ feeds, including how it considers different factors in its algorithm. Up until now, Instagram’s feed was sort of a mystery science. Posts from family members and close friends show up near the top, which was the goal of the company’s decision to move away from the reverse-chronological feed in 2016, but the way the app filled in the blanks between those close friends was slightly mysterious.


Instagram users were missing 70 percent of all posts and 50 percent of their friends’ posts before the app ditched the reverse chronological feed for an algorithm in July 2016. Despite backlash about confusing ordering, Instagram now says relevancy sorting has led to its 800 million-plus users seeing 90 percent of their friends’ posts and spending more time on the app.


Instagram says the changes have been effective. Users had been missing half of what their friends posted, the company says. But displaying posts by relevance has led its more than 800 million users to see 90 percent of their friends’ posts, and to spend more time on the app, according to TechCrunch and other publications briefed on the matter.



Three main factors determine what you see in your Instagram feed:

Interest: How much Instagram predicts you’ll care about a post, with higher ranking for what matters to you, determined by past behavior on similar content and potentially machine vision analyzing the actual content of the post.
Recency: How recently the post was shared, with prioritization for timely posts over weeks-old ones.
Relationship: How close you are to the person who shared it, with higher ranking for people you’ve interacted with a lot in the past on Instagram, such as by commenting on their posts or being tagged together in photos.

“Most of the display parts are seen here two to three years before they hit the market,” said Sri Peruvemba, the conference’s marketing head. “Companies like Apple want to be involved in new technologies from the ground floor.”

World First’s Holographic smart phone | Red Hydrogen One

Smart phones in market are similar to each other. Properties are also same as consider dual camera, head phone jack or in some cases it has not a head phone jack , processors , ram etc.

But the Red Hydrogen one make a difference 

Red, better known for its line of filmmaking cameras, doesn’t want to enter the smartphone landscape just to sell yet another Android phone, as The Verge notes. The Hydrogen One is supposed to be one piece of a modular system of cameras and other media production equipment — in fact, Red says it’ll be “the foundation of a future multi-dimensional media system.”

As such, the phone features a big set of pogo pins on the back, which will allow it to be connected to Red’s other devices and will also let users attach peripherals to the phone, including, most notably, lens mounts.

Red’s first planned peripheral is a camera sensor, and there’s very little to share now except that it’s going to be a huge one. Red is tight-lipped on the details, but it appears the ultimate goal is to make the Hydrogen One capable of integrating traditional camera lenses into a smartphone body. That means it will supposedly work with Nikon, Canon, Fuji, and Leica lenses.

The company announced its ambitions to take on the smartphone market last year and has selectively shown various influencers its prototypes to drum up interest and dispel doubts that an outsider can achieve what Google, Samsung, and Apple have not.

 

The Hydrogen One boasts a new display technology Red likes to call “4-view,” which allows users to turn the standard 2,560 x 1,440 screen into a 3D display or a holographic view. Holograms, for the uninitiated, is a unique technology that projects elements into the real-world. Think of R2-D2 projecting Princess Leia’s message in Star Wars. That, however, isn’t how Hydrogen One’s holographic display works.

Apple’s new $5 billion headquarters, Car park

Apple is one of those brand’s which can never be neglected so why you are let’s have look on it’s new park.

Apple Removing Facebook and whats app from it’s built in apps

As the previous case of face-book is appear’s that they sell data to third party app’s so Apple take action on it because they don’t want to take any risk.


Apple announce that the will block the app’s which use user data and sell it to third party and apple will remove them from the app store it mean’s we can not download them from the app store but yes if any one want the app he can add this manually via it tune or different software’s which install app’s on the phone with any store.

The process of data collection of user can be start via app update during the update process the app administrator collect information from the device they also use location service to figure out that where the device is actually use.

If this data is collected to improve their application then why not the collect it via feedback services as we all know that apple is a well know and famous brand and all they know is about there privacy and security precautions on the devices so they took a survey on this and finally take this decision.
